MOSS BLUFF — Programs in late October and November at Tabor Retreat House of Saint Charles Center include a Women’s Fall Silent Retreat presented by Simone Dubois, on Thursday, Nov. 1 to Sunday, Nov. 4.
Based on the major themes of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius as applied to daily living and growth in one’s faith life. The suggested donation is $250 for a private room and $225 for a shared room. Scholarship information is available upon request for those in need of assistance.
“Private Directed Retreats” will be offered by Msgr. Ronnie Groth, Fr. Whitney Miller, Fr. Marshall Boulet, Judy Savoie and Gloria Villegas from Monday, November 5 to Sunday, November 11. Registration for this retreat cannot be done online and you must call 337-855-1232 to register. . There is no online registration. The suggested donation is $350.00 for three days and $475.00 for five days.
An “Introduction to the Directed Retreat” will offered on Thursday, November 8, to Sunday, November 11 by Msgr. Groth, Fr. Miller, Fr. Boulet, Savoie and Villegas. Telephone registration is also required for this retreat and the suggested donation is $350.00 per person.
Two other November events include “Christians Rising to Help our Veterans” presented by Sr. Diane Depwe on Tuesday, November 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. and “The History of the Mass: From the Breaking of the Bread to the Holy Eucharist” with Deacon Soileau on Tuesday, November 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. Suggested donation for each is $20 with registration deadlines of Friday, November 9, and Friday, November 16, respectively.
Two events will conclude the Fall season at Saint Charles Center beginning with “Silencing the Christians” with Sr. Diane Depwe on Tuesday, December 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Advent Penance Night at Saint Charles Center on Tuesday, December 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. The suggested donation for “Silencing the Christians” is $20 with a registration deadline of Friday, November 30.
There is no need to call for pre-registration for the Penance Night and there will a number of area priests available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Chapel of the Assumption.
