Welcome to the Diocese of Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES — The Diocese of Lake Charles will continue its monthly series, "An Afternoon with Christ," on Sunday, June 11, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as the Feast of Corpus Christi. The afternoon will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a Eucharistic Procession on the grounds of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 935 Bilbo Street. All seven churches of the North Central Deanery will be participating.

Following the procession, the Very Rev. Ruben Buller, V.G., Pastor of the Cathedral, will share a reflection inside the church at 3:00 p.m. on the importance of Eucharistic Adoration.

As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, the goal of "An Afternoon with Christ" is to help people foster a habit of spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. After Father Buller's reflection, the afternoon will end with Benediction to conclude at 3:30 p.m.

Church parishes in the North Central Deanery include the Cathedral, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, St. Henry Catholic Church, and St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, all in Lake Charles; St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa, and St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff.
