LAKE CHARLES — “Everyone Deserves a Birthday” was the theme for the 27^th annual Louisiana Life March in downtown Lake Charles on January 22, 2023, on what would have been the 50^th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. More than 100 people braved the cold wind with one message in mind: Every life matters at every stage of life.

National Catholic Schools Week is the perfect time to celebrate the gift of a Catholic education. Now entering its 49th anniversary year, the annual weeklong observance will be January 29 through February 4.  

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) invites Catholic composers, hymn-writers, and poets to submit entries for the Eucharistic Revival Musical Competition. The goal of this competition is to express and renew our zeal for the Eucharist through poetry and song.
