LAKE CHARLES — The highly anticipated ordinations of four men to the priesthood for the Diocese of Lake Charles will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop, will be the ordaining prelate with the Very Reverend Ruben J. Buller, Vicar General, serving as Master of Ceremonies.

LAKE CHARLES — On the same day as the historic ordinations of four men to the priesthood for the Diocese of Lake Charles, Michael Beverung will advance one step closer on his priestly journey when he is ordained a transitional deacon by Bishop Glen John Provost on Saturday, June 27, in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

MOSS BLUFF – Holy Family Catholic School will not reopen for classes in the fall of 2020, according to Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau, pastor of St. Theodore Catholic Church, and Kimberlee Gazzolo, Superintendent of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Lake Charles.

Reverend Monsignor Ronald C. Groth's private funeral Mass for his family and the clergy is available for viewing on YouTube.com/lcdiocese. The service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings. (This Mass is in addition to the one at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond held earlier in the morning on Friday.)
