Welcome to the Diocese of Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES – Christina R. Jarreau, a teacher with 14 years experience in both public and Catholic education, has been named principal of Immaculate Conception Cathedral Catholic School (ICCS) for the 2014-2015 school term.

Mrs. Jarreau (at left) earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University (1997) and a Masters of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2001) and most recently has served as Middle School Religion teacher at ICCS. She holds lifetime – non-public school – certification in all levels of physical education.
  
Her other teaching stints began in 2001 at Maplewood Middle School with the middle school PE, girls coach and middle school math teacher. In 2003, she went to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School where she served as Pre-K to 8th grade PE coach and girls middle school coach.
  
From 2008-20101, she taught middle school math at Our Lady Queen of Heaven and moved to middle school coordinator in 2010-2011.
  
She taught fourth and fifth grade English and Spelling at ICCS from 2011-2012.
  
A parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Mrs. Jarreau has also served as a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS-CASI) review team and as a member of the SACS-CASI leadership team for an onsite visit during the 2009-2010 school year at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School.
  
She also took part in the Diocese of Lake Charles administrator training workshop, was a member of the ICCS fair assessment committee, on the ICCS administrative team and is currently serving as a PREP teacher, Lifeteen, and Confirmation group leader at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church.
