His Excellency, The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, D.D., Bishop of Lake Charles, makes the following appointments:
The Most Reverend Bishop has accepted the retirement, according to diocesan norm, of the Reverend Monsignor Vincent Sedita, effective Tuesday, June 30, 2009. The Bishop joins all in the Diocese in expressing our sincere appreciation to Monsignor Sedita for his distinguished service over many years as Pastor, Dean, and Vicar General, along with many other pastoral duties. May God grant him many blessings in gratitude for his years in assignment. He will continue to be active in retirement, living in a yet to be named parish of the Diocese.
The Reverend Richard Adiukwu is appointed as Pastor of St. Eugene Parish in Grand Chenier and Administrator of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Creole and Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Cameron, effective Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
The Reverend Marcus Johnson is appointed as Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Lake Charles, effective Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
The Reverend Monsignor Jace Eskind is appointed as Rector of the Parish of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Lake Charles, effective Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
