The Center for Catholic Studies is sponsoring a course called "The Science and Art of Spiritual Accompaniment" with instructor Paula Hunter. Class will be held on Thursday evenings of January 11, 18, 25 and February 1, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Diocese of Lake Charles Chancery, 1201 Ryan Street.
Course Description: In the Catholic tradition, accompaniment is a form of evangelization. It means to journey with others as they move through life transitions, as they find their way toward responding to the Lord’s call. Sometimes acting as guide, sometimes as companion, advocate, or teacher, the one who accompanies builds a bridge between doubt, fear, and loss, to the deep love and meaning found in Church teaching.
