On Wednesday, April 1, the Bishop will celebrate the Chrism Mass at 10:00 a.m. with the priests of the Diocese as concelebrants. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. on Holy Thursday, April 2. It is at this Mass that the commemoration of Christ’s washing the feet of His Apostles occurs. Following the Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be available for Eucharistic Adoration in St. Bernadette Oratory until midnight.
The Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday, April 3. The service begins with the Liturgy of the Word, followed by Veneration of the Cross with the faithful recognizing the Cross of Christ as our only hope of salvation. The service concludes with Holy Communion and the congregation leaves the Cathedral in silence.
Earlier on Good Friday, Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Cathedral with the Sacrament of Reconciliation available from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
