LAKE CHARLES — As the United States of America commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops joins this celebration by lifting up the contributions of Catholics and the impact of our faith on the history of this country.
To participate locally in this historic moment with bishops across the United States, The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop of the Lake Charles, will celebrate the Diocesan Consecration Mass at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 935 Bilbo Street. All clergy and laity are invited to attend this momentous celebration. This is a significant spiritual moment for our nation and an opportunity for everyone to join in prayer and devotion.
