Interim Principal Appointed - Diocese of Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES -- The Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Lake Charles has announced that Monsignor Ronald Groth, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, has appointed Ms. Hattie Ashton as 2011-2012 Interim Principal for Sacred Heart/Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School.
In a brief statement, Ms. Ashton remarked, “I look forward to joining the Sacred Heart Community. May we collectively continue to promote the Christian values, morals and academic standards on which Sacred Heart/Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School was founded. Together, we will make a positive impact on the future of our children, one day at a time”.

Ms. Ashton has lengthy experience with Calcasieu Parish School Board and will assume her duties on July 1.
