I would like to share with you, the faithful of the Diocese of Lake Charles, some reflections on the recent Spring General Assembly of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, conducted via remote means, and to clarify an issue that excited much discussion and media attention.

Take Action Against Equality Act

The Equality Act, which is coming up soon for a Senate vote, discriminates against life and people of faith. The Louisiana Conference of Catholic Bishops urges people to tell Congress to oppose it.

Rev. Starkovich to Lead Continuing Formation of Priests

LAKE CHARLES – Father Jeffrey Starkovich, pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ragley, has been appointed to serve as Director of Continuing Formation for Priests in the Diocese of Lake Charles, effective July 1, 2021.
