The St. Louis Catholic High School Concert Choir has been invited to perform in the National Memorial Day Choral Festival in Washington, D.C., May 26-29, 2023. 

The musical tribute saluting America’s military and fallen heroes is hosted by Music Celebrations International in partnership with the United States Air Force and the American Veterans Center.

LAKE CHARLES — “Everyone Deserves a Birthday” was the theme for the 27^th annual Louisiana Life March in downtown Lake Charles on January 22, 2023, on what would have been the 50^th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. More than 100 people braved the cold wind with one message in mind: Every life matters at every stage of life.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) invites Catholic composers, hymn-writers, and poets to submit entries for the Eucharistic Revival Musical Competition. The goal of this competition is to express and renew our zeal for the Eucharist through poetry and song.

JENNINGS — Nearly 150 people gathered at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church to hear “A Panel of Pro-Life Advocates” on January 11. The event was sponsored by the Office of Pro-Life Ministries in the Diocese of Lake Charles.

LAKE CHARLES — If there is one word that sums up “Festival of Nations: Celebrating the Epiphany of the Lord,” it would be unity. 

The inaugural bilingual event hosted by the Diocese of Lake Charles at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Founders’ Hall on Saturday, January 7, attracted nearly 600 hundred people of all ages for an opportunity to embrace traditions of other countries, but more importantly to come together as one faith to adore the Lord just as the Three Wise Men did more than two thousand years ago.
