WASHINGTON — The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) Administrative Committee has issued the following statement today marking the 50th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Administrative Committee serves as the Board of Trustees for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

ROME – Three seminarians of the Diocese of Lake Charles - Joseph Calloura Caraway, Andrew Martin DeRouen, and Levi Joseph Thompson – were among 47 men in the Second Year Class of the Pontifical North American College instituted as acolytes on Sunday, February 25 - the Second Sunday of Lent.

LAKE CHARLES – Trevor Donnelly, currently the principal of Our Lady’s Catholic School in Sulphur, has been named as the new principal, beginning the 2018-2019 school term, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School.
