The Diocese of Lake Charles announces that Bishop Glen John Provost has appointed Sister Maura Clare Mayock, R.S.M., to the position of co-director for the Offices of Marriage, Family Life, and Pro-Life effective June 1, 2023, with Blaine and Denise Wyninger continuing as co-directors. Sister Maura Clare will continue in her role as Director of the Office of Religious Education.

The St. Louis Catholic High School Concert Choir has been invited to perform in the National Memorial Day Choral Festival in Washington, D.C., May 26-29, 2023. 

The musical tribute saluting America’s military and fallen heroes is hosted by Music Celebrations International in partnership with the United States Air Force and the American Veterans Center.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the Holy Father allowed for publication of a rescript clarifying two points contained in Traditionis custodes. The Diocese of Lake Charles makes every effort to comply with canonical and liturgical law and relies upon its legal experts trained in Pontifical universities to offer guidance. The Diocese will address compliance as the law requires and in keeping with the allowances stipulated by the rescript.
