LAKE CHARLES — Parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church were “home for Christmas” after being displaced since Hurricane Laura in late August.

Priests are known for feeding their flock spiritually, but over the past several months, their flock have had the opportunity to feed them. 

"Bishop's Reflection," a weekly video message from the Most Reverend Glen John Provost highlighting the Sunday Gospel, has resumed here on the website. The "Bishop's Reflection" may also be viewed each week on the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lake Charles Facebook page.

In a news release Tuesday, December 8, the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Lake Charles has announced that Catholic schools will adhere to recently updated Centers for Disease Control guidelines, according to Kimberlee Gazzolo, Superintendent.

LAKE CHARLES – The 40^th annual fundraising effort conducted in the Diocese of Lake Charles – the Bishop’s Services Appeal – began in the parishes of the diocese on Sunday, Nov. 29, the First Sunday of Advent, with this year’s theme being ‘Now you are Christ’s body, and individually part of it,’ coming from I Corinthians 12:27.
