ELTON — The Mass of Christian Burial for Deacon John H. Eaves was celebrated Monday, June 24, by The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop of Lake Charles, in St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Paul Cemetery. Rev. Marshall Boulet was the homilist.
LAKE CHARLES – Bishop Glen John Provost will be the ordaining prelate on Saturday, June 29, at a 10 a.m. liturgy in the newly restored Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the priestly ordination of Deacon Michael Caraway and the historic ordination of four men - Samuel Bond, Joseph Caraway, Andrew DeRouen, and Levi Thompson - to the transitional diaconate, the penultimate step to the priesthood of Jesus Christ.

LAKE CHARLES – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rev. Frederick F. “Fred” Russi, 78, a retired priest of the Diocese of Lake Charles, in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30. Father Russi, a native of Lafayette, died on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
