On December 8, 2015, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, His Holiness Pope Francis opened the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome to inaugurate the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy.

LAKE CHARLES – The Diocese of Lake Charles announced new details of its landmark capital campaign at the Bishop’s Gala last Saturday, December 12. The diocesan-wide Return to the Lord Capital Campaign, the first in the history of the diocese, is an effort to raise $16 million to support priests, parishes, and faith ministries.

LAKE CHARLES –Father Don Piraro, Director-emeritus of Saint Charles Center, was named the 2015 winner of the Clergy Leadership Award given by the Bishop Jude Speyrer Chapter of Pontifical Knights and Dames at their annual Christmas luncheon.
